A unique approach to understanding and responding to conflict. Basic skills, theory and theology of conflict transformation are explored while inviting participants to engage their hearts, minds and bodies in the process, opening the way to personal transformation.

Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resiliency (STAR 1) Offered in Three Modules
The STAR model is a training for pastors, therapists, teachers and family members in order to understand trauma, its impact on the body, mind, and spirit; and a model for healing from trauma. STAR will be offered in three modules. Module One is an introduction to STAR. Module Two is the application of the STAR model to mililtary families, and Module Three is a one-day intensive course in the use of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique.) The introduction to STAR is a pre-requisite for Module Two or Three. However, Module Two and Three are not prerequites for the other. A participant may take Module One and Module Three or Module One and Module Two. All three modules will be offered for $500, a $50 discount. INTRODUCTION TO STAR is offered on Monday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 25, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Brookfield Inn 8 West Main St, Brookfield, MA. The cost is $250 and includes the STAR manual and lunch. The introduction to the STAR model includes instruction in the types of trauma, signs of its effect on body, mind and spirit, common responses to unhealed trauma, new skills, and strategies to address its impact and build resilience. STAR FOR OUTREACH TO MILITARY FAMILIES is offered on Friday, November 11th and Saturday, November 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Brookfield Inn. The cost is $200. The introduction to STAR is a prerequisite for this course. For more information, click here.
EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE: Tools for healing trauma is offered on Thursday, November 10th, 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Greg Carpenter, a marriage and family therapist and experienced EFT practicioner, will lead the workshop.
