Learn about moral injury and how to heal from it, as well as how to build a more resilient community at this workshop, designed for veterans, active duty military, advocates, clergy, emergency responders, service providers, teachers and family members of any of the above.
There will be a veterans‘ panel discussion, and the agenda will provide ample time for open conversation as to how we can best collaborate and build a strong support framework between and among community providers.
Veteran Scott Germain will lead the veterans panel on the challenges we face and what helps.
Mary Heck, a readjustment counselor for Readjustment Counseling Services, and Tony Aiello of the VA will give presentations on moral injury.
Beverly Prestwood-Taylor of The Brookfield Institute will talk about resilience, along with Jennifer Bauditz. Jennifer is a military spouse of 15 years with experience as a program manager for military family support and holds a Continued Advanced Graduate degree in resilience. She will be teaching a course on "Resilience, Service Members, Veterans and Families" at Assumption College in the spring of 2019.
We'll also have a conversation about building resilience and a group conversation about collaboration.
The $10 fee covers the cost of lunch and materials.
