Acupuncture Military Stress Response Program
developed out of programs for emergency crisis care for people suffering PTSD after disasters
such as Katrina, and California fires. It was also used to help first responders after 9/11. Research has shown that clients experience a sense of calm that can carry over into their lives and that the acupuncture helps to integrate difficult emotions so that they can be worked with more easily in other venues, such as therapy. The treatments help with anxiety and can help with some sleep disorders. The program has been found to be so helpful for the families of veterans as well as active duty military personnel, and basically anyone undergoing severe stress.
Practitioner Dedie King, acupuncturist at Listening in Barre, MA. has been trained to treat people under this program. If you would like to see her or to talk with her about it, please call 978 355-3501 .
